Our Story
NJSpiritWear LLC, was originally founded as YoJMAC LLC in 2003 by owner operator John McArthur. John had graduated in 1996 from The New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and then spent 8 years in the high tech field, during which time, achieving a Masters in Technology Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology. John started his career at Motorola in the product development group located in Piscataway, NJ and finished his career at JDS Uniphase in their Optical Amplifier division located in Eatontown, N.J. The technology bubble burst of the early 2000's sent him in a new direction.

In 2003, YoJMAC, LLC was formed out of the basement of his home. In just nine months he traded in a single head embroidery machine and moved into the garage with the purchase of a 4 head embroidery machine. 6 years later, YoJMAC, LLC was transformed into NJSpiritWear with the purchase of a small commercial building in Hamilton New Jersey. This building was originally built in 1910 and had served as the original Mercerville Firehouse until it's last 45 years where it stood as a hair salon.
The building has slowly evolved over the years and our customers have grown with us. Amazingly, up until today it has been a two man show with employee Justin Greczyn and John McArthur still conducting the day to day operations. Although there is a lot of overtime involved, being small has allowed for us to operate very quickly and efficiently from a service standpoint and gives us the ability to keep tremendous quality control on the product that leaves the door.
2019 has become a year of expansion as we have redesigned our beautiful showroom located in Hamilton, NJ - AND after much anticipation the launch of our newest endeavor, the redesign of our website. We will be slowly releasing cool innovative New Jersey designs coupled with the sale of our own brand. Most importantly we are working on a plan to give back to the youth of our local inner city community. We are also in the process of bringing in a new employee for production.
Good things happening and we are hoping for you to be a part of it!!
